Influences, Part I

With the death of my father when I was four and the generally blase feelings I had toward my step-father growing up, I called upon a host of matinee idols on which to model my male ideal. Here is a selection of the characters who had the most lasting influence, or at least have provided the most lasting memories, for me as I have created myself in this life. So in no particular order I present these nine male role-models.
Starbuck, Battlestar Galactica – Buck Rogers, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century – Luke Skywalker, Star Wars
Bo “Bandit” Darville, Smokey and the Bandit –  Evel Knievel, daredevil – Bo Duke, Dukes of Hazard
Batman, – Steve Austin, The Six Million Dollar Man – Superman
