And by here now I don’t mean that it’s a thing that you’ve been waiting for and has finally arrived, rather, I mean that I’ve put a redirect in place and that going to will now deposit you here at Why? Because running one website is enough for me right now and I frankly don’t have enough content to fill two websites. Not that there was much over there anyway.

I’ve deleted the link at the top of the page and moved the enormous amount of content from the page here. No, not to, but to here, this post. Yeah. This is all that was there. It was a thing at one time, then it wasn’t, then I wanted it to be a thing, then I didn’t know what it would be, and now it’s been downsized to a single post and a redirected domain. That’s the short of it, minus the long. This is just part of the website refresh/overhaul that’s going on here behind the scenes. Later.

This is supposed to be a page about my writing, the writing process, agents, editors, publishers, and all that sort of stuff. Instead, it’s a page about what it’s supposed to be about, but not actually about anything. Maybe someday soon it’ll be something. Right now is not that day. Today, it’s about nothing.

6:30 AM

Another trip around the sun. Another candle. Another year down. Why am I up at 6:30 AM?

Happy birthday to me.

Thanks for being here, I’m glad to have you around. I’m a little more than halfway there, so stick around for more of the same nonsense you’ve come to expect.

This is also the first day of a stretch of time off from work for me. I figured between my birthday, our anniversary, and a family vacation next weekend… what the heck. Why not. I’ll go back to work on the 27th, whether they want me to or not.

Here ’em singin’ happy birthday
Better think about the about the wish I make
This year gone by ain’t been a piece of cake
Everyday’s a revolution
Pull it together and it comes undone
Just one more candle and a trip around the sun

I’m just hangin’ on while this old world keeps spinning
And it’s good to know it’s out of my control
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from all this livin’
Is that it wouldn’t change a thing if I let go

No you never see it comin’
Always wind up wonderin’ where it went
Only time will tell if it was time well spent
It’s another revelation
Celebrating what I should have done
With these souvenirs of my trip around the sun

I’m just hangin’ on while this old world keeps spinning
And it’s good to know it’s out of my control
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from all this livin’
Is that it wouldn’t change a thing if I let go

Yes I’ll make a resolution
That I’ll never make another one
Just enjoy this ride on my trip around the sun
Just enjoy this ride

Until it’s done

This one is a podcast scramble of bits from five different recording sessions that just didn’t have what it took to go the distance. Some of these tracks are simply to showcase the noise levels I’m fighting against out here on the road. You could think of it as a bunch of junk, but I’d prefer it if you’d be kind and think of it as bonus content. Whatever you want to call it, this is the last of my file of unused clips. Buckle-up. It may get rough.

I noticed tonight that all the old posts from and have disappeared. I knew that would happen, but it sure makes for an ugly mess. I would like to get all those posts back up, but I’m not sure if I want to go through the headache of doing that before I decide if this is where I’m going to stay. If I go back to my own hosted page, I can go back to WordPress and it should be a simple matter of loading my archive back-ups. If I stay here, well, it’ll be more complicated. I’ll need to figure out what’s what with the XML files and make some edits so that I can import to blogger. It all just sounds like a big pain in the ass. The other option is to just move forward from here and pretend that all the other stuff was destroyed. Still no decisions on that front.

i could say it was all destroyed in the fire

I did pick up rotors and pads for the Spirit today, so that’ll be a thing this weekend. Now if I could just get my boy to bring back my jack…. bring it back… I know you’re seeing this. Oh yeah, I think there’s a football game this weekend.

Just a note here to let you know that I’ve redirected both and to this page until such time as I decide what to do with those domains/sites. So I welcome you to my new Blogger site, Creative Investigator.

At this point, Blogger seems to do most of what I want, only with a few more limitations on the customization of things. The only thing I haven’t figured out a real solution for is the podcast. I can host it on my Google Drive, but I can’t stream it from there, so to listen you have to download it and then listen via another method.

It has been suggested that I should simply move from podcasting to vlogging, and that is a possibility, but I would prefer to have the option to do both.

I’m still investigating my options. Stay tuned.

Lunarpages has deleted my account from their servers. Which means that the websites for both and have disappeared from the internet. So if you go to those places, they will not be there. You’ve been warned.

Now the decision becomes whether to reopen shop with a new host, leave well enough alone, or to simply report those domains to this blogger site.

I’m still paying off Christmas, so I’ve got some time to think about it. For now, I’m going to keep posting here on blogger and using IFTTT to share to my social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Google+)
